In 1996, during the socio-political unrest in the north-west Assam, fearing the extinction, pygmy hogs were brought to the captivity from Manas to start the species recovery programme. … after twenty-four years … amidst a public health and swine health crisis… pygmy hogs were brought to Manas to bring back the population. This short film tells about this historic event of the partnership efforts to save the pygmy hog from extinction.
